Bucharest-born Andrei Cretulescu is a Romanian writer-producer currently heading his own production company, Kinosseur. Between 2004 and 2009 he was in charge of the “OnAir” department and, later on, of the “Original Production” department of HBO Romania. In this capacity, he produced a TV series, In deriva, and 9 original documentaries, winning the 2010 International Emmy Award for Best Arts Programming. In addition, he produced several trailers for various new Romanian movies.

Since 1995, Andrei has been writing about cinema in a number of cultural and specialized magazines such as “Dilema Veche”, „Republik”, “Esquire”, www.hbo.ro or “BeWhere”. He contributed to the recently published “New Romanian Cinema. From Comrade Ceausescu to Mr. Lazarescu” with a piece on genres and their incidence in Romanian cinema. He’s served on a number of festival juries and has taken part in various panel discussions on the state of contemporary cinema and film criticism. Since 2008, he is the Artistic Director of the Bucharest International Film Festival. Since 2010, he is a full member of FIPRESCI. Since 2012, he's also the Artistic Director of Full Moon - Horror and Fantasy Film Festival. He attends annually the Berlin, Cannes and Venice film festivals.

 

CODRUTA
CRETULESCU


A Journalism and Foreign Languages graduate, Codruta Cretulescu has an MA in Applied Linguistics awarded by the University of Bucharest in 2007. After a 4 year collaboration with „Republik” magazine, where she worked as a film, TV and music critic, in 2007 she began her collaboration with Tudor Giurgiu, acting both as a script consultant for Libra Film and as an editor of the yearly „Romanian Films” catalogue. In addition, she’s acted as publicist and English translator for various Romanian new wave films.

Since 2008, she is the coordinator of the Bucharest International Film Festival and the www.liternet.ro film correspondent for the Berlin, Cannes and Venice film festivals. In 2011 she contributed to the recently published “New Romanian Cinema. From Comrade Ceausescu to Mr. Lazarescu” with a piece on the use of humor in Romanian cinema. Since 2010 she is an associate member of the Romanian Film Critics’ Union. Since 2012, she's the Manager of Full Moon - Horror and Fantasy Film Festival.
